Muscle Activation Technique
Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) is a systematic approach for evaluating and correcting muscular imbalances that contribute to injury. These imbalances also impede recovery and compromise performance. This method of evaluation and strategic stretching offers a way to bring balance back to your muscles.
The athletic trainer will check your range of motion and note any imbalances or bilateral differences. He or she will then guide you in performing a series of specific stretches to help you achieve full range of motion and decrease muscle tightness.
This unique process for evaluating and treating an individual’s level of ability to produce efficient muscle contraction can greatly improve physical performance.
