Sports massage is designed to prepare an athlete for an event or to help the body recover following an intense workout or competition. This is achieved by massage strokes that help with circulation of lymph and blood, helps break down scar tissue, promote healing of small muscle tears or reduce muscle fatigue. This type of massage can be whole body or specific areas to prepare you for your activities and avoid injuries.
